Bonsai Jade Dwarf Green (Crassula Ovata ‘Dwarf Green’)

Bonsai Jade Dwarf Green (Crassula Ovata ‘Dwarf Green’)

The Bonsai Jade Dwarf Green is a charming, slow-growing succulent with thick, fleshy leaves and a classic bonsai tree form. Known for its ease of care and attractive shape, this plant makes a great introduction to bonsai or succulent collections. Its compact size and forgiving nature make it perfect for tabletops and small spaces.

Pet Safe

No, Jade plants are toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets and children.

Light

Prefers bright, direct sunlight for at least a few hours a day. A south- or west-facing window is ideal. It can tolerate lower light but may become leggy or lose its compact shape without enough sun.

Water Requirements

Water sparingly, allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot. During winter, reduce watering frequency as the plant goes into a semi-dormant state.

Watch out for…

Overwatering is the biggest risk. If you see yellowing, mushy leaves or a soft trunk that is a sign of too much moisture. Pests like mealybugs and spider mites can occasionally affect the plant. Prune regularly to maintain the bonsai shape and encourage bushy growth.

Similar care to…

The Bonsai Jade Dwarf Green shares care traits with other succulents like Echeveria, Aloe vera, and other Crassula species, all favor bright light, infrequent watering, and well-draining soil.
