Syngonium (Arrowhead Plant)
Syngonium plants are known for their varied, arrow-shaped leaves that start off a soft green and gradually deepen into stunning shades of pink, white, or cream as they mature. With a variety of species to choose from, they can be grown as compact bushes or allowed to trail beautifully. Though they enjoy a bit more humidity and indirect light, they’re relatively easy to care for!
Pet Toxicity
Syngoniums are toxic to pets and should be kept away from them.
Light
Syngonium plants thrive best in bright, indirect light. While they can tolerate lower light conditions, they may lose vibrancy and slow their growth. Avoid direct sunlight as it will burn their leaves.
Water Requirements
These plants like a consistently moist, but not soggy, soil. Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Make sure the pot has good drainage, as syngonium can be prone to root rot. They thrive best with lots of humidity, so you may want to mist or place them in a pebble tray.
Watch out for…
Use room temperature water to not shock the plant. If your plant is getting losing vibrancy, try giving it more light.
Plant Friends
These plants have care requirements similar to Spider Plants and Pothos Plants.
