Fittonia's leaves come in shades of green, pink, or white, and is very similar looking to the Hypoestes Plant or “Polka Dot Plant”. Light
Bright, indirect or diffused light is best for these plants. Make sure to not place them in direct sunlight as that will scorch their leaves.
Water Requirements
Fittonia plants do best with consistently moist, but not soggy, soil. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry. They thrive in high humidity so regularly mist, or use a pebble tray to keep the humidity high.
Watch out for…
While these plants love moist soil, they can be prone to root rot if the soil cannot drain properly. Make sure your pot has well draining soil and it is not sitting in water. Conversely, these plants tend to get stressed out if the soil dries out completely.
